Un classique, le plus beau tournoi de hockey au monde, se déroule actuellement en Suède!
L’organisation des Leafs suivra avec beaucoup d’intérêt les prouesses de 3 de leurs jeunes prospects.
Après avoir joué son premier match dans la NHL en début de saison, l’attaquant Matthew Savoie portera les couleurs de l’Unifolié. Repêché au 14e rang du repêchage 2022 de la LDVP, le petit joueur de centre de 19 ans qui a accumulé 5 points en 6 matchs en AHL, a 24 points en 11 matchs depuis son retour en WHL. Il devrait jouer un rôle important au sein de la formation canadienne.
La plus récente sélection de 1ère ronde des Leafs, l’attaquant Oliver Moore, portera les couleurs des États-Unis. Le jeune joueur des Golden Gophers de l’Université du Minnesota connait une bonne première saison dans la NCAA avec 12 points en 18 rencontres.
Anton Wahlberg représentera quant à lui les hôtes du tournoi. L’attaquant de 18 ans qui en est déjà à sa deuxième saison dans la ligue suédoise élite pourrait utiliser son gabarit pour s’imposer offensivement pour les Suédois.
Le DG Leblond suivra avec beaucoup d’intérêt la progression de ses jeunes attaquants.
